Fiscal Responsibility
In the Utah legislature, I will work to keep our state fiscally responsible. As a good steward, I want to reign in taxes. It will be increasingly important to remember whose hard-earned money we use - yours. I will fight to ensure the state uses your tax dollars wisely and work to remove waste and require efficiency.
Public Safety & Improving Quality of Life
Just like you, I want to live in a community that is safe for our families and for children. I support our law enforcement and first responders. I want to ensure they have the resources needed to keep us safe.
Strengthening Education
A strong education system is essential for our children’s future. It will be one of my priorities to support an education system that encourages strong partnerships between parents and teachers. Because children learn in different ways, they should not be forced into a one-size-fits-all program. I will support reasonable parent-driven options for that learning. Weber State University gave me opportunities that helped provide direction in my life. I fully support the legacy of this wonderful institution in our midst.
Conservative Values
I am a conservative. I am a Republican and proud of it. Conservative values have made our state strong. They are needed to maintain the lifestyle we love. I will work to keep those values at the forefront of policy decisions and defend what makes Utah unique in the nation. I will defend constitutional freedoms, protect individual liberty, and stand up for those values at the Capitol. My vision is that we need to move away from increasing dependence on the government to be our provider. Self-reliance and independence will do more to deliver happiness than constantly counting on government intervention. We should love and respect everyone, but voting in our state and nation is the right of American citizens. Establishing that reality with proper ID is rock-solid common sense.
I am Pro-life
I believe in the reality of female and male biological genders. Most bills and legislation do not center around these issues, but when they do, you need a voice that reflects that principle.
Keeping Government Accountable and Transparent to You
You need a representative who has you at the forefront. It is impossible to please everyone, but I will remember that the voice I raise and the opportunity I have to be that voice came from you, the voter. I am confident that most citizens in District 10 share similar values. I will strive to keep you up to date through communication channels. I will have gatherings that enable your input and involvement. I want to be available to hear your concerns.
Controlling & Managing our Growth
Our district and state are growing. I want to ensure that we don’t lose our identity. I will work to keep that identity intact while also supporting housing options that will help young families. I will work to provide necessary infrastructure improvements that address growth. These are realities that need good management.
